PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

  • Credentialing Timeline: As soon as credentialed (typically 30-90 days)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Required:

    • Low risk pregnancy

    • High risk pregnancy

    • FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE

    • OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I/Screening (viability), Level II/Targeted (anatomic))

    • Amniocentesis

    • Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section)

    • Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations)

    • Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

    • Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: Eligible

  • Licenses: Licensed in OK or Universal License (IMLC)

  • Certifications: BLS

  • Fellowship: Preferred

  • Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR, ability to manage unassigned patients and emergency deliveries

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour ED call coverage for OB/GYN services

  • Manage labor and delivery, including routine and complicated deliveries, C-sections, and VBACs

  • Perform newborn rounding on unassigned patients as needed

  • Handle gynecologic emergencies and surgical consults, including minor and major gynecologic procedures

  • Coordinate with fellowship-trained ED physicians, hospitalists, and anesthesia team
