JOB OVERVIEW

  • Case Mix: Emergent OB/GYN cases from the ED – hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy, D&C, ovarian cystectomy, hysteroscopy, IUD insertions, abscess, post‑hysterectomy complications, exploratory laparotomy

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

    • Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronic tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's, Stage III/IV endometriosis, A&P repair, vaginal hysterectomy, abdominal hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, resection of uterine septum, ablation, myomectomy, uterine suspension)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: Certified required

  • Licenses: Licensed in WA or Universal License (IMLC)

  • Certifications: BLS

  • Fellowship: Preferred

  • Experience: Experience in high‑acuity Obstetrics & Gynecology preferred

  • Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR, ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide 24‑hour in‑house call coverage for the OB/GYN department

  • Manage emergent gynecological and obstetric cases presenting to the Emergency Department

  • Perform a broad range of procedures including hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy management, D&C, ovarian cystectomy, hysteroscopy, IUD insertions, abscess drainage, post‑hysterectomy complication management, and exploratory laparotomy

  • Collaborate with hospital midwives (5) to coordinate labor and delivery care

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
