The Onboarding Navigator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, supportive, and efficient transition for newly hired physicians and advanced practice providers into the Deaconess Health System. This position serves as a liaison between new providers and internal departments, guiding them through credentialing, orientation, and integration into clinical practice. The Onboarding Navigator fosters a welcoming environment, ensuring new hires acclimate to the organization and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for newly hired physicians and advanced practice providers from offer acceptance through their first 90 days.
Coordinate onboarding logistics, including credentialing and compliance documentation.
Validate and share orientation schedules, EMR training, and other pre-employment requirements.
Provider Support:
Provide guidance on licensing, DEA registration, and hospital privileges.
Facilitate the execution and compliance of collaborative agreements.
Ensure providers are informed about benefits, policies, and organizational culture.
Communication & Liaison:
Act as a bridge between departments such as HR, IT, Credentialing, and Clinical Operations.
Maintain regular communication with new hires to address questions and concerns.
Documentation & Tracking:
Maintain accurate onboarding checklists and timelines.
Track progress and ensure timely completion of onboarding milestones.
Collect feedback to improve future onboarding experiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Preferred.
Previous experience in healthcare onboarding, HR, or a similar role is preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and work effectively across various departments.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
