The Onboarding Navigator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, supportive, and efficient transition for newly hired physicians and advanced practice providers into the Deaconess Health System. This position serves as a liaison between new providers and internal departments, guiding them through credentialing, orientation, and integration into clinical practice. The Onboarding Navigator fosters a welcoming environment, ensuring new hires acclimate to the organization and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for newly hired physicians and advanced practice providers from offer acceptance through their first 90 days.

  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, including credentialing and compliance documentation.

  • Validate and share orientation schedules, EMR training, and other pre-employment requirements.

Provider Support:

  • Provide guidance on licensing, DEA registration, and hospital privileges.

  • Facilitate the execution and compliance of collaborative agreements.

  • Ensure providers are informed about benefits, policies, and organizational culture.

Communication & Liaison:

  • Act as a bridge between departments such as HR, IT, Credentialing, and Clinical Operations.

  • Maintain regular communication with new hires to address questions and concerns.

Documentation & Tracking:

  • Maintain accurate onboarding checklists and timelines.

  • Track progress and ensure timely completion of onboarding milestones.

  • Collect feedback to improve future onboarding experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Preferred.

  • Previous experience in healthcare onboarding, HR, or a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across various departments.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
