Schedule consists of primarily clinic with surgery 4.5 days/week
Birth Center does about 500 -600 births per year
Teaching opportunity- FM Residents (in L&D 24/7) & Medical Students
Newly remodeled clinic located on our main campus- close proximity to Labor & Delivery, Lab, Pharmacy and Radiology with access to Perinatology consultation.
Da Vinci XI with designated OR block time
Level II NICU staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank.
In-house specialists available for consultation/collaboration in patient care, i.e., Cardiology, Orthopedics, Reconstructive Surgery, Anesthesiology, etc.
Regional health system covering 14 counties, includes MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, 7 critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
