JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: 102195 Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology (ER) Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: St. Louis, MO Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7a – 7p and 7p – 7a 30-40 shifts per month Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Pregnant patients up to 6 weeks postpartum Average Daily Volume: 40-60 patients/day Rounding: Yes FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: I Beds in Dept: 12 EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: OB Hospitalist, EM Support Staff: 2-3 RNs APPs & Sonographer - 18 hrs/day Tech - 12 hrs/day REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low & High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation OB Ultrasounds Amniocentesis Routine & Complicated delivery Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: Licensed in MO or IMLC Certifications: BLS, ACLS Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate and treat pregnant patients up to 6 weeks postpartum presenting to the OB ED Manage low and high-risk pregnancies including FHR interpretation and OB ultrasounds Perform routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries Manage complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech, multiple births, and VBACs Collaborate with APP support staff, RNs, and sonographers to provide comprehensive care
