Job Description

Legacy Silverton Medical Center and Legacy Medical Group invite an accomplished OB/GYN physician leader to join a respected women’s health program in Silverton, Oregon.

  • $385,731-$402,658 annual salary at 1.0 FTE, based on years of experience, with sign-on bonus.
  • Additional compensation for more than 1:5 call and opportunities for quality incentives.
  • 4-day work week; $4,000 annual CME allowance, including 40 hours of CME (CME hours pro-rated to FTE).

Responsibilities

This combined 1.0 FTE opportunity includes 0.3 FTE as Medical Director of OB/GYN and Family Birth and 0.7 FTE in clinical OB/GYN practice. The role offers the ability to provide both clinic- and hospital-based care while helping guide quality, access, patient safety, team engagement, and the continued development of obstetrics, gynecology, midwifery, maternity care, and women’s wellness services for the Silverton and Mid-Willamette Valley region.

Clinical

  • Join as 4th of 5 intended full scope Obstetrician/Gynecologists.
  • Provide full scope hospital and clinic-based OB/GYN care at Legacy Silverton Medical Center and the three LMG Women’s Health Clinics in SIlverton, Keizer, and Woodburn.
  • Clinical backup of CNM and Family Medicine-OB clinicians.

Medical Director Legacy Medical Group

  • Direct oversight of employed Legacy Medical Group Obstetrician and Gynecology group.
  • Partner with the site-based Midwifery Director, and clinic operations on quality, patient safety, access, patient experience, clinical standards, practice efficiency, and performance improvement.
  • Support physician and APP staffing, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, call coverage, team development, mentorship, professional standards, peer review, and implementation of evidence-based protocols, guidelines, and clinical pathways.

Family Birth Center

  • Dyad partner to the FBC Nurse Manager.
  • Counterpart to Medical Executive Obstetric and Newborn Chairs.
  • Member of OB/GYN and family birth leadership councils and committees as requested by leadership.
  • Work with Family Birth Center Service Line and Hospital Executive Leadership to develop and implement the FBC Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) as required by CMS.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, team-centered practice environment that supports provider engagement, clear communication, professional accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a four-year U.S. medical school or equivalent; OB/GYN residency completed.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon.
  • Clinical experience in OB/GYN in both office and inpatient settings; minimum of three years practicing medicine in OB/GYN required for the medical director component.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, quality improvement, patient safety, collaboration, and mission-aligned leadership.
  • Leadership, quality assurance, performance improvement, MBA, or MHA preparation preferred but not required.

Licensure

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN.
  • Current BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Completion of Relias EFM certification within the first 30 calendar days of start date.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon.
