Oat Mill Laborer / Maintenance Worker

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as required

Hours Per Day: 8–10 hours per day

GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Oat Mill Laborer / Maintenance Worker to join our Valued Clients team at an oat milling facility in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual with a maintenance background who is committed to safety, reliability, and hands-on work in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with general labor duties within the oat milling facility including material handling and production support.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on mill equipment and facility systems.

• Operate forklifts to move product, materials, and pallets safely within the facility.

• Support plant operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas.

• Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors.

• Follow all safety procedures, site policies, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a labor, mill, production, or industrial environment.

• Maintenance background or strong mechanical aptitude is required.

• Forklift experience is important and ability to safely operate industrial equipment.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for transportation to the worksite.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and working in an industrial environment.

• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in grain handling, milling, or agricultural processing facilities.

• Forklift certification or documented operating experience.

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance experience.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an oat milling and grain processing facility.

• Environment may include dust, noise, moving machinery, and material handling equipment.

• Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
