British American Tobacco NZ has an exciting opportunity for a NZ Secondary Supply Chain Manager in Auckland

Role Positioning and Objectives

The incumbent aims to develop and manage the overall Secondary Supply Chain strategy for BAT NZ, delivering competitive advantage through establishing effective Route to Market model across multi categories supporting the NZ end market and operational objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, plan and implement overall Secondary Supply Chain strategy for NZ that contributes to both functional and commercial strategies meeting the broader business objectives
  • Ensure delivery of an efficient Inventory & Distribution plan of Finished Goods across multi categories & NRS portfolio considering cash, cost and service level requirements
  • Develop and implement cost effective and competitive Route to Market model across multi categories & NRS supporting the evolving business needs and industry environment, driving long term profitability
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and oversee the delivery of strategic projects in support of Area, Regional and Global strategy
  • Review of existing 3rd Party Logistic operations and annual contract, identifying improvement plans and operating budgets to build an integrated Route to Market model meeting Operational and Commercial requirements in NZ
  • Working collaboratively with Primary Supply Chain, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance team to manage Secondary Supply Chain budget and deliver strategic functional results supporting the overall business objectives
  • Establish meticulous governance and compliance framework for the controls, processes and procedures required within Secondary Supply Chain function, promoting compliance with business integrity requirements in a timely manner
  • Lead and provide clear guidance to Secondary Supply Chain team during challenging regulatory environment supported with smooth transition and execution plan
  • Establish Secondary Supply Chain KPIs for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the overall supply chain
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate cross functionally to deliver sustainable and strategic business results supporting functional objectives
  • Develop service level innovations that remove complexity within logistics network that ultimately increases speed to market and improved service level

What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • 5+ years of supply chain management experience within an international environment and managing customer relationship, warehouse and transport network design and management
  • Strong leadership skills, presence and impact, excellent customer engagement skills
  • Ability to influence at various levels and in a matrix organization
  • Rational decision-making skills at various level
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Contract development, defining SLAs, processes, procedures and KPIs

Preferred:

  • Strong knowledge of Loss Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and Loss Definition Management, identifying cost savings and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Business change management competence
  • Project management experience
