Vulnerability Remediation SME

About the role

We are looking for a Vulnerability Remediation SME to support a strategic initiative focused on vulnerability remediation across critical enterprise applications and infrastructure environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, application support, and security teams to identify, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities while contributing to the ongoing migration from Puppet to Ansible.

This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, automation expertise, and hands-on experience supporting production environments.

Responsibilities

• 
  Perform vulnerability remediation activities across enterprise applications and infrastructure environments.
• 
  Analyze and resolve security findings and operational issues.
• 
  Support and contribute to the Puppet-to-Ansible migration initiative.
• 
  Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible.
• 
  Troubleshoot production incidents and provide application support.
• 
  Create and maintain technical documentation.
• 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Infrastructure, and Application Support.
• 
  Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 
  5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Application Support, DevOps, or related roles.
• 
  Strong experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• 
  Hands-on experience with vulnerability remediation and security patching.
• 
  Strong Ansible experience.
• 
  Exposure to Puppet environments or migration projects.
• 
  Experience with Python and/or Bash scripting.
• 
  Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• 
  Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• 
  Experience working in production support environments.
• 
  Professional level English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Experience within Financial Services or other highly regulated environments.
• 
  Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices.
• 
  Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or similar.
• 
  Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices.

Working Conditions

  Remote position.

  Candidates must be available to work EST business hours or maintain significant overlap with EST working schedules.
