The opportunity

Hitachi Energy’s Applications and Transformation department is looking for the next Application Specialist in the electrical application space. As an Application Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will be included in a divers team and collaboration with multiple Application Specialists from different fields. Communication is key as you will also be working closely with our application support and administration team and participating in Steering Committee Meetings. We are looking for a driven employee who is eager to learn and develop as an Application Specialist and a team player. 

This role is based in Ludvika, Sweden.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Participate in software and hardware upgrades.
  • Participate in application development projects.
  • Application requirement specification and management.
  • Application administration, installation-management, and configuration according to Hitachi Energy and industry standards.
  • Planning and driving meetings with: Application stakeholders, Steering Committee and other inter-departmental meetings.
  • End user support, problem solving and training.
  • Application user license and access management.
  • Maintaining application and process related documentation.
  • Following and improving our way of working. 


Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related field.
  • A motivated, curious, and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A strong willingness to learn, develop, and contribute improvement ideas constructively.
  • Experience working or studying with engineering-related CAD software.
  • Exposure to project and/or application management, including extracurricular or project-based activities.
  • Proficiency in English with clear communication skills; Swedish is valued.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, MS Office and MS Project is beneficial.
  • Experience or interest in NX and Teamcenter (configuration, integration, CheckMate, translators, BIM) and programming with .NET is an advantage.
