Step into a Consultant opportunity in Deloitte's Network Workplace Observability Engineering capability, where you'll help solve complex networking and security challenges while growing your skills across modern cloud and automation environments.

What will your typical day look like?

From network assessments and remediation through to migration and transformation work, you'll support the delivery of networking and network security outcomes across a range of client environments. That could mean contributing to solution design, helping test and integrate new platforms, or supporting cloud and enterprise network changes using technologies across routing, switching, load balancing and firewalling.

A big part of the role is helping clients navigate modern networking problems with more scalable, automated approaches. You'll get exposure to areas like Infrastructure-as-Code, NetDevOps, CI/CD and cloud networking, using tools such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, Git and APIs to improve delivery, assurance and operational visibility.

Working closely with experienced network, security, DevOps and platform engineers, you'll learn how strong consulting and technical capability come together on real client work. The pace is varied, the problems are practical, and the work will challenge you to build both your technical depth and your confidence with stakeholders.

About the team

Deloitte's Cloud Engineering team brings together specialists in networking, security and cloud to help clients design, modernise and transform critical technology environments. The team works across strategy, assessments, sourcing, remediation, migrations and large-scale transformation programs, with a strong focus on modern engineering practices and polished, high-quality client deliverables.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• Up to 1 year of experience in networking and network security, with exposure to areas like routing, switching, load balancing and firewalling
• Associate-level certifications in networking technologies such as Cisco, F5, Palo Alto or similar
• An interest in building your capability across cloud, coding and automation
• Exposure to delivery work across assessments, design, architecture, migrations or transformation programs
• Familiarity with NetDevOps concepts or tools such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD, IaC or APIs
• Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills, with a focus on quality
• A proactive, resilient and thoughtful approach to problem solving and working with people
• Nice to have - entry-level cloud certification across AWS, Azure or GCP
