Job Description

Nuuly is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the CX (Customer Experience) Rental team within Nuuly's Product & Technology organization. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Senior BSA will be the primary requirements author for a cross-functional delivery team of services engineers, front-end (web) developers, and iOS developers. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, and QA to translate business needs and solution designs into detailed, implementable technical specifications and drive that work through sprint execution. This is a multi-disciplinary role that spans business systems analysis, technical specification authoring, QA coordination, and agile delivery facilitation.

Role Responsibilities

  • 3–5 years of experience in a business systems analyst, technical business analyst, or similar role working embedded within software engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience writing detailed technical specifications and acceptance criteria that engineers build from directly
  • Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery, with hands-on experience shaping sprint content, managing backlogs, and facilitating team execution
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines (front-end, back-end/services, mobile, QA) within the same delivery team
  • Understanding of web and mobile application architecture, including APIs, databases, and how front-end and back-end systems interact
  • Experience coordinating between engineering, design/UX, product, and QA stakeholders

Role Qualifications

Job Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Jira, including JQL queries, epic/feature management, and sprint administration
  • Proficiency with Confluence or similar documentation platforms
  • Ability to read and understand API documentation, system architecture diagrams, and technical solution designs
  • Ability to query databases using SQL for data validation and investigation
  • Ability to read and understand JSON, interact with APIs using tools such as Postman
  • Experience comparing implemented UI against design specifications and articulating visual discrepancies in precise, actionable terms
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful), feature flag systems (e.g., Harness, LaunchDarkly), or A/B testing tooling is a plus
  • E-commerce or subscription business domain experience is a plus

AI/LLM Proficiency

  • Practical experience using Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for work tasks
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and how to provide effective context to AI tools
  • Familiarity with structured AI guidance methods (system prompts, rules files, agent configurations)
  • Knowledge of AI tool integration concepts (MCP, connectors, agentic workflows)
  • Ability to identify opportunities where AI can drive efficiency improvements
