Job Description

The Associate Digital Merchandiser is a pivotal role bridging the gap between site execution and overarching digital strategy for Nuuly's e-commerce channels. Because these channels interact closely with our core rental platform, your strategy must be deeply rooted in the broader Nuuly ecosystem. You will act as a crucial middle-tier leader, translating analytics and behavioral signals into actionable site merchandising strategies that help our customer seamlessly navigate between renting, buying new, and shopping pre-loved. You will work highly cross-functionally to drive incremental revenue and optimize conversion across all e-commerce touchpoints.

Role Responsibilities

  • Site Strategy & Execution: Own on-site filters, navigation, search, and product discovery across Nuuly’s commerce ecosystems. Strategically design listing flows, navigation pills, and product associations that accommodate both new products and pre-loved resale inventory.
  • Site Map & Editorial Strategy: Own e-commerce site map planning and the strategic merchandising of editorial content. Ensure cohesive product storytelling and seamless integration across the Nuuly website, app, and all external marketing channels (including email campaigns, paid ads, and social media).
  • Data-Driven Merchandising & Reporting: Partner closely with the RADS (Reporting, Analytics, Data Science) team to define required site metrics and build foundational e-commerce dashboards. Interpret analytics and customer signals to optimize site performance, and routinely report out on digital merchandising wins, opportunities, and business performance to leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between Buying, Planning, Marketing, Brand Creative, and Web Operations. Take a lead role in briefing creative and marketing teams on monthly product needs, launches, and promotional cadences across all e-commerce channels.
  • Campaign & Drop Management: Partner with Web Producers to ensure flawless execution of high-urgency "Drops," seasonal and thematic shop launches, and high-volume Thrift events. Proactively review site functionality and correct issues prior to major traffic events.

Role Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce/digital merchandising.
  • Highly technical and analytical; extremely comfortable reading reporting dashboards and transforming data into visual merchandising action plans.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, specifically bridging the gap between highly creative teams (Brand/Marketing) and technical teams (Web Ops/Tech).
  • Strong fashion point of view with an acute understanding of how to visually merchandise diverse product types (new vs. resale/pre-loved) contextually alongside a rental subscription.
