In this role, you will provide personalized nutrition consultations, thoughtfully assess individual dietary needs, and design tailored meal and wellness plans that support a balanced lifestyle. Your expertise will also guide supplementation recommendations and the facilitation of engaging small-group wellness sessions, helping to build a culture of health and shared learning within our community.

Duties And Responsibilities:
Nutrition Operations
- Performs a variety of duties associated with nutrition consultation, assessing nutritional needs, developing meal and nutrition plans, supplementation recommendations and leading small group wellness programs.
- Provides comprehensive nutritional assessments which may include Questionnaires/Symptomology, Physical Assessments, Dietary/Lifestyle Analysis.
- Creates personalized nutritional protocols which may include therapeutics foods and lifestyle recommendations.
- Provides a safe, effective, and supportive learning environment for diverse nutrition participants.
- Stays abreast of latest trends and techniques in areas of expertise. Evaluates nutrition programs for effectiveness and recommends new approaches, meal or nutritional options or techniques.
- Plans personalized nutrition programs, small group curriculum and conducts personalized sessions or small group instruction in areas of expertise. This may include designing individualized nutrition programs, creating meal plans and menus.
- Ensures clients and participants are following nutrition programs and meal plans safely.
- Uses knowledge and expertise to modify nutrition programs and small group activities for various clients and participants with diverse needs and dietary restrictions.
- Create educational material in reference to healthy food choices and lifestyle.
- Sets up and takes down required program equipment.
Administrative Duties
- Maintains program related records and reports, including accurate client session totals.
- Provides exceptional guest service to all clients and participants. Responds to information requests, comments and complaints from clients and participants.
- Maintains frequent communications with other staff within the Community Center and Division and reports any issues or concerns with inventory, facility conditions, policies and incidents to supervisory staff as needed.
Other/Miscellaneous
- Ensures the safety of guests and program participants by enforcing all rules and policies with staff and guests.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings.
- May be considered as a subject expert for area of specialization and may train other staff on specific knowledge.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum

Qualifications/Certifications/Degrees
Nutritionist I
- Must have a minimum of one state or nationally recognized nutrition degree, healthcare license or certification.
- One year of related work experience or training preferred.
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification within three months of employment.
Nutritionist II
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics, Public Health, Health Sciences, Holistic Health, or relevant degree required.
- One state or nationally recognized nutrition certification.
- One year of related work experience or training.
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification within three months of employment.
Nutritionist III
- Currently holds a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian degree.
- Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics, Public Health, Holistic Health, or relevant degree.
- Three years of related work experience or training.
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification within three months of employment.
A combination of education, experience, and certifications may be considered.
