Job Description

We are seeking a Nutritional Services Monitor in the Nutritional Services program in the Broward location. This is a position of special trust which requires the employee to successfully meet Level 2 Background screening requirements; perform in an empowered environment by working collaboratively with other professionals, personnel and direct service providers and, must be familiar and comfortable working with diverse populations. You must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. One year experience working in a child care setting. Related experience can substitute for child care experience. Must be computer literate. Ability to give instructions and work well with others. Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

-Develops a monitoring schedule and evaluates child care centers and/or family child care homes participating in the Child Care Food Program in assigned area according to the rules and regulations set forth by the Child Care Food Program, Florida Department of Health and Family Central, Inc.

-Provides technical assistance and support to licensed child care center and/or family child care home providers in the assigned area according to best practice and funder guidelines.

-Recruits and trains new providers wishing to become part of the Child Care Food Program in assigned area.

-Assists with trainings, workshops and projects according to best practice and funder guidelines.

-Completes and submits all required Family Central, Inc. documentation and reports required by the funder.

-Keeps Manager and Director informed of all tasks and projects.

-Assists Manager and Director with special projects.

-Participates in the organization of special activities related to Family Central.

-Must be able to work on a consistent basis with regular attendance and punctuality, and be willing and able to handle all the duties and responsibilities of this position on a daily basis.

-Serves as a customer service role model to ensure a positive relationship in interactions with all employees and customers.

-Committed to empowering themselves and others to solve their own problems.

-Performs other duties that may be necessary to maintain the success of the organization.

-Performs duties as needed and/or requested to support and maintain accreditation standards and continuous quality improvement of the organization.
