When we do everything in service of our patients and caregivers, no detail gets ignored. On our teamas a Nutrition Services Utility Worker, your job will be to create a healing environment— just like our patients have come to expect.In this role, you will ensure equipment isproperly cleanedand sanitized and ready for use for patient meals, preventing cross-contaminationand any other issuesYou will alsoworkthe dishwasher and handle receiving responsibilities.Here, you willjoin ateamthat’sfocused on delivering world-class care. A caregiver in this position works8-hour shifts between 6:00AM – 8:30PM, averaging 32 hours per weekWorking rotating weekends and holidays will berequired, as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform a variety of routine duties related to the cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen equipment, pots, pans, cafeteria pans and serving utensils and cafeteria trays.
Comply withestablished corporate and departmental policies, procedures,objectives, quality assurancemethodsand safety codes.
Demonstrate compliance with licensing,regulatoryand accrediting agency provisions asrequired
Consistentlydemonstrateappropriateand professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers.
Cooperate with management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures,objectives, quality assuranceprogramand safety standards.
Comply withdepartmentexpectationto use supplied personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Clean the pot area and inform the department secretary whensoapneeds to be ordered.
Operate the dishwasher to ensure all pots, pans,traysand utensils are clean.
Collect and wash dirty cafeteria trays and deliver clean trays back intoserviceguaranteeing coverage for the lunch period.
Collect,processand dispose of trash, cans,bottlesand similar debris to be transported to disposal area.
Sweep and mop kitchen and cafeteria.
Maintain soap and paper towels in hand washing sinks throughout the kitchen.
Assistwith care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Ability to read and use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and complete regulatory logs
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
HighSchoolDiploma or GED
One year of experience
Healthcare or hospitality experience
