Job Description

Position Title

Nutrition Services Aide - Retail

Purpose & Scope:

The Starbucks kiosk barista will receive orders and payments, prepare specialty drinks, assist with food preparation.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a barista preferred

Other Qualifications

  • Basic math & counting skills required
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

Certification/Licensure:

Food handling certification preferred

Operate Office machines properly and in accordance with Hospital safety standards. Perform moderate lifting (up to 25 pounds). Ability to work within deadlines with frequent interruptions. Ability to work in accordance with Hospital Safety Standards. 

Working Conditions:

Food & Nutrition: Works in a well-lighted/ventilated setting. Regular exposure to extreme cold and heat. Subject to frequent interruptions. Willing to work beyond normal working hours when requested to do so. Minimal occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, or musculoskeletal injuries. May encounter patients, family members, co-workers, and visitors under all conditions, e.g. hostile and/or emotionally upset.
