The position has day-to-day operational responsibilities for the food service provision of Head Start, Early Head Start and child care centers. Assures, participates, and arranges daily preparation and transportation of the food to the centers. Participates, assures, and for the maintenance of food preparation, storage areas, and equipment in a safe and sanitary manner that also complies with health department, Head Start and licensing requirements. Assists with maintaining and preparing appropriate reports for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation with a special emphasis on food service for children is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of sound nutritional principles, CACFP guidelines and operational functions are preferred.
Knowledgeable of correct lifting techniques and safety practices with cooking equipment.
