Job Category: Admin - ClericalProvides support and assistance to eligible applicants/participants by performing nutrition activities related to nutritional risk factors, including selecting and providing basic and/or customized supplemental food packages to participants while providing individualized nutrition education based on the assessment of health and nutrition information obtained.  In addition, performs applicant/participant eligibility and certification; provide explanation of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, its benefits, and basic nutrition education to participants; and enters and retrieves participation information in an automated information system.

QualificationsRequirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate degree Health or Social Services preferred
- Cross-training required to ensure the integrity of the WIC program.

Qualifications
- At least two years’ experience in related field, preferred
- Spanish bilingual, preferred but not required
- Must obtain or remain compliant on nutrition or para-professional training curriculum
- Must obtain or remain compliant on blood pathology training
- Must be able to maintain a heavy caseload
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds
- Must be able to prioritize day-to-day operations
- Requires traveling to various WIC sites
- Must be a highly self-motivated individual
- Must maintain confidential records and data
- Must provide superior customer service
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – will be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
