Indian River Hospital is looking to add a Nursing Operations Manager to the team, who will serve as the responsible agent for any circumstances requiring immediate response,resolutionor referral.We’relooking for nurse leaders who are the definition of excellence in patient care, who are compassionate human beings always striving to lead, learn and grow, and who treat each other and their patients like family.This can be an intense role, requiring strong multitasking and prioritization skills.Through constant patient monitoring, you will directlyimpactthe life of the patient.At ClevelandClinic,you’lltouch lives and hearts while making a difference.
A caregiver in this position worksdays from 7:30AM – 7:30PM ornights from 7:30PM – 7:30AM, including weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Serve asadministrationon-site and as a responsible agent for any circumstances requiring immediate response,resolutionor referral.
Initiate,prioritizeand resolve situations thatimpactpatient care deliveryandthe safety of patients,visitorsand caregivers through collaboration with departments.
Identifyand resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
Monitor and adhere to the annual hospital operating budget.
Approve ormonitorexpenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Two-three years of experience in acute care
Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., conflict resolution,communicationand leadership)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master'sDegree inNursingor a related field
One year of experience in a management role
Computer skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
