Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Hospital is seeking a strong, people-focused Nursing Leader to oversee our Oncology & Infusion Services team. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about leading teams, improving outcomes, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

The Nursing Manager – Oncology & Infusion is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of the department. You’ll guide your team in delivering high-quality oncology and infusion care, ensure adherence to clinical best practices, and create a safe, efficient environment that supports both patients and staff.

This role also includes staff leadership, budget oversight, quality improvement initiatives, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Management:
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; manage staffing and schedules.

Patient Care:
Oversee oncology and infusion patient care, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols and compassionate, patient-centered treatment.

Quality & Safety:
Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor patient outcomes, and ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Resource Management:
Manage department budget, staffing, and supplies while ensuring effective resource utilization.

Collaboration:
Partner with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, policies, and safety procedures.

Patient/Family Support:
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding oncology treatments, infusion therapies, and care plans.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Illinois state license
  • BSN required or able to obtain within 3 years of starting
  • 3–5 years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Required Certifications/Licenses/Experience

  • Active Registered Nursing license in the state of Illinois
  • Three years previous management experience preferred
  • At least five years previous experience in a clinical setting

Compensation

Hourly range: $36.30 - $54.44

Salary range: $75,504-$113,443.20

Bonus

Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.

Incentives

Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
