Cleveland Clinic Florida's Hospital Care at Home program provides a home-based alternative to acute and post-acute hospital care, allowing eligible patients to receive hospital-level treatment in the comfort of their own homes. This innovative model delivers a seamless care experience that promotes recovery in an ideal healing environment. As a Care at Home Nurse Manager, you will provide leadership for daily operations by conducting leadership rounds, overseeing departmental performance, developing and implementing policies, managing annual performance reviews (APRs), and supporting the growth and development of nursing staff. Collaborating with interdisciplinary caregivers, you will use your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership skills to ensure high-quality patient care from admission through discharge while advancing Cleveland Clinic's commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and caregiver excellence.

A caregiver in this role works day/evening/night/weekend shifts from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with holiday requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Manage the practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.

  • Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.

  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.

  • Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.

  • Develop and maintain unit-related patient care standards through continuous quality improvement.

  • Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.

  • Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs and mix.

  • Provide direction and supervision, evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination process and develop strategic plans.

  • Actively promote staff and self-development.

  • Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.

  • Direct unit participation in evaluation of new products.

  • Approve purchases and establish or revise inventory quotes.

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budget.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

  • If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through American Red Cross) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire

  • Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience

  • High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area

  • Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • EPIC, Workday and UKG experience

  • Prior Leadership or Supervisory (ANM or charge nurse) experience

  • Technology experience (radiology platforms, teams) Microsoft suite, zoom, vendor platforms, Cesia

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.

  • Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking.

  • Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
