Nursing Director (RN) - Emergency Services

The Emergency Nursing Department Director position involves overseeing the operations of the emergency department, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include leading the team, managing departmental budgets, and implementing strategies to improve patient experience and care delivery.

Job Summary:

  • Directing the daily operations of the ED, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, and implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Managing the departmental budget and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Manages budget, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of nurses providing opportunities for professional development.
  • Responding to emergency situations related to patient and staff safety.
  • Collaborating with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN Licensure in the State of Oregon.
  • Bachelor's degree (BSN), Masters degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years' experience in emergency nursing.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills required.
