The Nurse Coordinator-Breast, is responsible for coordinating all clinical functions, nursing practice, and the standards of care related to the delivery of patient care within the Breast Ambulatory locations. Registered nurse serving as a collaborative resource and program leader for patients and the Breast Surgery team. Works to assess patient’s individual needs, connecting and referring them to appropriate supportive services and resources.
Works collaboratively with the Oncology physicians and administrative leadership teams regarding implementation of new surgical services, locations, staff education and training and quality projects. Provides regional support to Surgical Oncology and subspecialties to enhance patient throughput, experience and outcomes. Utilizes data collected to make informed decisions to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education
Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN)

Experience
5 years or more as a Registered Nurse.


Licensure, Certification, Registration
Current RN license in the state if Connecticut
One or more of the following:
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
(AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Red Cross obtained
prior to hire date or job transfer date.
