GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to assist the College in fulfilling its mission by facilitating student acquisition of the required knowledge, attitudes, and skills, necessary for success in the student's chosen career in health sciences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides teaching, supervision and evaluation of student clinical learningexperiences.
Provides individual advisement and guidance for intellectual and professional development ofstudents.
Collaborates with faculty to provide optimum learning opportunities forstudents.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Master'sof Science in Nursing or
Bachelor of Science of Nursing andMinimum of 3 years’ consecutive experience in a specific field of nursing as needed by Mercy College at the time ofhire.
Two years’ experience in a clinical environment.
Current and valid Iowa RN licensure.
Demonstrated ability in managing, leading or training others.
Demonstrated ability to utilize appropriate, varied and innovative classroom/clinical/field teaching strategies.
Must commit to working 16 hours/week per academic year.
