Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $19.95 - $22.56 Hourly

ACES Bassett Road School is seeking a dedicated, professional, and highly organized Full-Time Clerk for the School Nurse’s Office. This position will work 35 hours per week (8am-3pm daily Monday-Friday). This position is central to the daily operations of our health office, requiring a candidate who excels in a fast-paced environment and can provide exceptional customer service to a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- General Clerical Support: Perform essential office tasks including filing, faxing, copying, and maintaining organized records.
- Communication & Triage: Answer multi-line telephone calls, direct inquiries to appropriate staff, and take accurate messages.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for students, staff, parents, medical providers, and school districts, ensuring professional and responsive interactions.
- Administrative Coordination: Assist nursing staff with daily operations and work independently on assigned projects to ensure workload coverage.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards regarding sensitive student health information and school records.

Qualifications
- Advanced Customer Service: Ability to maintain a professional, approachable manner and remain calm and effective in a busy or high-pressure environment.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the Registered Nurse (RN), internal staff, and external stakeholders.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer use and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Organizational Mastery: Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and manage time effectively to meet the needs of a spread-out school building.
- Education: High School Diploma required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Mobility: Ability to move quickly throughout a large school building to assist staff and students as needed.
- Environment: The work environment typically has a low to moderate noise level but can become fast-paced depending on student needs.
