40 hours/pay period. Every other Monday, every Thursday, and every Friday from 1430 to 2300. No holidays or weekends.

About the Role

Join Advocate Condell Medical Center as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients in a collaborative clinical environment. You’ll support RNs in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while helping ensure a positive experience for patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Nurse Aide in good standing on State Registry
  • BLS certification (AHA) within 45 days of hire
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to patient needs

What You’ll Do

  • Assist patients with daily care needs (bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility)
  • Take and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient data in EMR
  • Support admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Perform purposeful rounding and promptly communicate patient needs
  • Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing
  • Support patient positioning, transport, and nutritional needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
  • Collaborate with RNs and care team to deliver high-quality care

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, move, and reposition patients (up to 35 lbs independently; more with assistance)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift
  • Exposure to clinical environments, including bodily fluids and medical equipment
