Examples of duties

Six months of experience or training in patient care; OR

Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate; OR

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Program.

NOTE:

Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Supplemental information

Job Duties:

  • Assist with documenting the admission of new patients into the medical record.
  • Provide care to patients such as ambulating, feeding, bathing, positioning, and lifting.
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies.
  • Measures temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, and weight; records in the patient's medical record.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Full-Time Position Probational

Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Nursing Assistant 1 or 2 depending on the level of experience

Work Schedule: Work hours are 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM / 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Alternate weekends.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

CNA 1 Special Entrance Rate is $13.74 hourly (base pay).

CNA 2 Special Entrance Rate is $14.70 hourly (base pay).

*Plus shifts differentials and premium pay of $3.00 per hour worked.
