As a Nurses' Station Nurse at Grand Island Clinic, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, maintaining clinical documentation, administering vaccines, and assisting physicians with various medical procedures. This role is critical to ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate care, while also assisting in maintaining clinic efficiency. The position requires a blend of technical nursing skills, including performing and assisting with procedures and supporting Occupational Medicine (OCMED) services. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.

Essential Job Functions:
Administer and maintain records of patient vaccinations, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Perform and assist in medical procedures, including minor surgical interventions and wound care.
Assist in Occupational Medicine (OCMED) procedures, including physicals, drug screenings, and injury assessments.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and symptoms during intake assessments.
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the attending physician.
Prepare exam rooms for patient appointments, ensuring necessary equipment is sterilized and available.
Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and ensuring continuity of care.
Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, medication instructions, and vaccination schedules.
Collaborate with the clinic’s healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the patient’s electronic medical records (EMR).
Comply with clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards, including infection control.
Additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in administering vaccines and maintaining vaccination records.
Strong clinical skills in performing and assisting with medical procedures.
Knowledge and experience in Occupational Medicine (OCMED) procedures.
Excellent communication and patient care skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to clinical safety protocols.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic environment.
Experience with vaccine administration and technical nursing procedures.
Experience in Occupational Medicine or similar clinical fields is a plus.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on feet.
Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
May require frequent bending, reaching, and working with equipment.
Ability to assist patients in and out of exam rooms, and move medical equipment as needed.
