Job Description

Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator (Part-Time)

Pacific Coast Post Acute is looking for a reliable and organized Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to support our nursing team. This role is essential in ensuring appropriate staffing coverage to meet resident care needs while maintaining compliance with facility guidelines and operational requirements.

$21.00–$25.00 per hour

Part-Time

Staffing & Scheduling

  • Create and maintain nursing schedules to ensure adequate shift coverage.
  • Coordinate staffing for call-offs, vacations, leaves, and open shifts.
  • Monitor staffing levels based on census and resident care needs.
  • Respond to urgent staffing needs and secure coverage when necessary.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate staffing, attendance, and scheduling records.
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to staff and leadership.
  • Assist with onboarding schedules for new hires.
  • Support staffing-related clerical and administrative functions.

Compliance & Coordination

  • Ensure schedules meet facility policies and staffing requirements.
  • Work closely with nursing leadership to address staffing concerns.
  • Track attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.

Qualifications

  • Previous staffing, scheduling, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
