Essential Functions

• Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of PMC.
• Establishes and/or revises priorities for patient care activities based on the following: acuity of patient need, patient preference and resource availability.
• Initiates and/or maintains interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
• Responds to data indicating risk to individual’s health and initiates action to correct, reduce or prevent the risk.
• Seeks supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Complies with established hospital/department personnel policies.
• Uses communication strategies in order to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Documents in patient’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) according to established guidelines.
• Must access and complete the first module of the program within the first three weeks of the launch of their cohort.
• Must continually access the online course website to complete the online modules at a minimum of every six week.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and 12-hour day/night shifts.
• Sign a 2-year commitment agreement to work on the hiring unit.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Graduated from an accredited Nursing Education Program, minimum of an associate degree (ADN) or baccalaureate degree (BSN).
• Must pass NCLEX and obtain Registered Nursing License within 4 month of hire.
• Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of experience.
• Any Registered Nurse who is changing specialties, has limited experience, or is returning to the workforce is welcome to participate.
• Current BLS
