JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Assistant Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Minneapolis, MN Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Sep 14, 2026 – Dec 14, 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 4:30p PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages Patient Volume/Census: 11-16 patients/day Case Mix: Benign and malignant hematology FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 686 beds EMR System: EPIC Specialty Backup Available: APPs (PA/NP) on inpatient side PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active MN license required; Universal License (IMLC) accepted Board: Board Certified PA or NP Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: Experience in benign and malignant hematology required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient hematology/oncology care to patients of all ages Manage benign and malignant hematology conditions Work day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8a – 4:30p Collaborate with attending physicians and APPs on the inpatient service No on-call or weekend responsibilities
