Nurse Practitioner – Wound Clinic

What You'll Do

Assesses needs, incorporates plans and provides direct patient care for patients in the Grand River Health Clinic settings.

  • Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations and compiles and documents patient medical data including health history, progress notes and results of examinations and treatment plans.
  • Takes actions to ensure proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests.
  • Advises patients about continuing care. Works in collaboration with Physicians and other interdisciplinary members of care teams.
  • Orders, interprets and records results of a variety of clinical tests and reports results to other Providers and departments as needed.
  • Conducts patient education. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
  • In addition to clinical duties, participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects. Attends various meetings and serves on committees as assigned. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Functions under the direction of assigned supervising Physician.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Requires active Colorado licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice.
  • American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications must be required within 6 months of hire depending on admitting privileges.
  • Required certifications and licensures must be maintained in current status throughout employment.
  • 3 to 5 years working experience in a clinical setting in a similar role preferred.

What We Offer

  • $57.31 - $81.87 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
  • Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
  • Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
