
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and caring Nurse Practitioner to join a dedicated multidisciplinary group. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System providing supplemental overnight coverage to the inpatient psychiatric units in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Mankato, Minnesota; and Albert Lea, Minnesota. Responsibilities will include reviewing referrals for admission for acceptance or denial, placing admission orders, responding to on-call questions, and managing existing inpatients. The scope of work will involve working as an integral team member of a multidisciplinary team working with social work, nursing, advanced practice providers, and physicians.
This is a remote position and a psychiatrist will be available to comply with licensing requirements.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and comfort in working with patients with psychiatric illness.

New Grads will not be considered at this time. Must have 2 years of inpatient psychiatric experience as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorate-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program with Current Wisconsin and Minnesota RN and APRN licenses and certifications. Preference given to candidates with a PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification).
Must have current BLS certification and be eligible for DEA registration.
Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
