
Primary position requires provision of clinic services within the occupational health clinics reporting to the Medical Director and Manager of Occupational Health and Audiology.
Performs complete physical examinations for annual requirements as well as periodic surveillance examinations per company policy, OSHA and NAVSEA.
Conducts sick call on ill or injured employees with supervision from the Medical Director. This includes suturing lacerations, obtaining appropriate x-rays and laboratory tests and counseling employees concerning the results. Reviews restrictions on those returning to work and assists in the accommodation review process as needed.
Liaisons with the Employee Assistance Program, Workers Compensation Facilitator, Benefits office and local physicians. Responsible for medical and emergency protocols including infection control and blood borne pathogen issues. Must be capable and responsible with program management of OSHA Medical Surveillance, Marine Evaluations, Travel, and Off-Site Monitoring. Must be capable of becoming Radiation Health Indoctrination (RHI) certified via the United States Navy.
This position will be for our Groton location.
Staggered start and end times during assigned shift. Flexibility in scheduling to meet clinic operation needs.
