Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position will be working with the entire pediatric population at Mattel Children's Hospital for palliative care needs.

Salary range: $93.81- $133.97/hourly


Job Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Master's Degree or higher in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a specialty in Pediatrics, Acute Care - Required
  • CA NP, NPF, and CA RN license - Required
  • NPI #, DEA # - Required
  • Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- Required
  • National Certification in Nurse Practitioner Specialty as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Required
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Required
  • PALS certification from American Heart Association -Required
  • 2 years Acute Care Pediatric NP experience- Required
  • 2 years Pediatric Palliative NP experience - Strongly preferred
  • Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-Required
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-Required
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-Required
  • Ability to set priorities-Required
  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-Required
  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-Required
