Job Description

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Veterans Disability Assessments

Work can be performed by a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Any U.S. state provider license may be accepted — license portability rules apply.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform medical disability assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review each Veteran’s medical records electronically through a secure web portal and perform a focused, in-person physical examination. You will then document your findings and complete the required VA questionnaires through the online portal.

This is an assessment-only position. You will not provide treatment or prescribe medication. You will not make disability determinations; all disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

  • Travel commitment of at least 2 weeks per month
  • ‘Typical Schedule’ - Travel to the assigned location Sunday evening and return home Friday evening or Saturday morning
  • Travel is arranged and paid for, including flights, hotel, and rental car

  • Providers with multiple state licenses are preferred

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Physician Assistant license must be NCCPA accredited
  • Valid, current driver's license
  • Automobile liability insurance that meets MRG Exams' requirements

Benefits

$3,000 per week

  • Training and ongoing support provided
  • No requirement to apply for multiple state licenses
  • Health insurance options available
