The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Tier III) works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Provides care for patients both in the outpatient clinic and the inpatient setting and addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications. Collects, documents and analyzes patient data; collaborates in the development and implementation of treatment plans; coordinates patient care with ancillary clinical services; makes appropriate referrals to consulting medical staff; provides follow up to referring physicians; may orient or precept students and new staff. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the institution.

Work Hours: 12-hour shifts. Tier III Advanced Practitioners work a combination of days and nights or straight nights, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday. APPs on Tier III are expected to work one weekend every four weeks and three holidays a year.
For considerationforthis position, candidates must have passed the certification exam for either Physician AssistantorNurse Practitioner. For Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification is highly preferred.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Tier III) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
