
The Critical Care Independent Multidisciplinary Practice (IMP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a position in the Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit, caring for a vast array of general surgical and multi-system trauma patients in the critical care setting. Selected candidates hired into this role will have the opportunity to partner with surgical-critical care-trained intensivists and other multidisciplinary team members. An NP/PA in this area will perform admission history and physicals, daily assessments and notes, ordering and interpreting of tests and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, management of medication regimens, and select bedside procedures based on need and the experience of the provider. Candidates should have a strong desire to care for critically ill patients and ICU experience/exposure, although extensive training and mentoring will be included as part of orientation to this role. Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as an ANP, FNP, ACNP, AGACNP; Or
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is required. BLS and ACLS certification required.
