  • Supportive Environment: Work with a collaborative team focused on patient care, prevention, and positive health outcomes.
  • Occupational Health Training: Previous occupational health experience is not required! Medcor provides training and mentorship to help you succeed.
  • Career Growth: Join an established healthcare organization with opportunities for professional development and advancement.

What You'll Do

As a Medcor NP/PA, you'll provide a broad range of clinical services based on the needs of the onsite clinic.

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, and other common medical conditions.
  • Provide urgent care for non-work-related illnesses and injuries, including initial evaluation and stabilization of patients requiring a higher level of care.
  • Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing, including laboratory and point-of-care testing.
  • Provide patient education, preventive care, and wellness counseling to promote long-term health.
  • Collaborate with Medcor's oversight physicians and clinical leadership to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Occupational Health & Workplace Wellness

  • Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, including coordinating appropriate follow-up care.
  • Perform occupational health examinations, medical surveillance, and regulatory screenings as required by the client.
  • Support services such as hearing conservation, vision screening, respirator fit testing, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Assist with return-to-work programs and collaborate with client safety teams, Human Resources, and third-party administrators.
  • Participate in workplace health promotion, injury prevention, and wellness initiatives.
  • Support emergency preparedness, including response planning, drills, and CPR/First Aid/AED training as needed.

Clinic Operations & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with patients, onsite clinical staff, client leadership, and Medcor's medical team.
  • Follow applicable OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, state workers' compensation, and other healthcare regulations.
  • Support daily clinic operations and additional clinical responsibilities within your scope of practice.
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or degree from an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in IA.
  • Current national certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA, as applicable.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • DEA registration, if required for the position.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an NP or PA in urgent care, emergency medicine, family practice, or occupational health.

  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety practices and workers' compensation processes.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Don't have occupational health experience? That's okay! Medcor provides occupational health training and mentorship. We're particularly interested in providers with strong clinical backgrounds in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care who are interested in expanding their skills.

  • Enjoys building relationships and delivering personalized, patient-centered care.
  • Can work independently while collaborating with a larger medical and operational team.
