NP or PA position available at Oconee Heart and Vascular Center's Greensboro location
Under the direction and review of a physician, the Nurse Practitioner provides patient care requiring the performance of general medical services in conformance with professional standards and regulations. Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, treatment, and care is appropriate to the age of the patients served. According to established protocols, conducts clinical assessment of the patients’ health care status and needs and provides patient care to facilitate expected patient outcomes. Triages emergency walk-in patients. Assesses patients for pre-operative clearance. Provides counseling and education to patients in order to enhance patient care. Documents care provided in order to support the continuity of patient care and optimum patient outcomes. Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, treatment and care is appropriate to the age of the patients served. Care provided is appropriate for all patients. Performs other duties within job scope as requested.
Position Requirements
A: Licensure/Certification/Registration Nurse Practitioner shall at all times during the term of this Agreement:
Hold a current, valid and unlimited license as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia; Be competently and adequately trained to provide services Not be, and at no time has been, excluded from participation in any federally-funded health care program, including, without limitation, Medicare or Medicaid; Remain insurable for and maintain the professional liability insurance required under this Agreement, at rates reasonably equivalent to those available with respect to other Nurse Practitioner employees of Hospital (or otherwise as reasonably determined by Hospital), allowing for normal rate differentials among specialties.
B. Education: Completion of a BSN from an accredited nursing school and an MSN from an accredited nursing school.
C. Experience: Minimum of two years experience as a Registered Nurse.
