This is a dual FTE position with 0.6 FTE in the Adult CSF Dynamic Clinic along with 0.3 FTE in Pediatric Headache Clinic. The APP will be responsible for evaluation and ongoing management of individuals with headaches disorders and CSF dynamic disorders including, but not limited to, cerebrospinal fluid leak and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. The APP will work collaboratively with Adult CSF Dynamic and Pediatric Headache sub-specialty consultants in the Department of Neurology. The practice will include, but is not limited to, comprehensive physical assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments, education, counseling, and follow-up management of established patients within these practice areas.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an FNP, ANP, or ACNP.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. The NP/PA must be eligible for DEA registration.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team. BLS certification and DEA registration required.
