Job Description

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant who will deliver care for patients on the University of Minnesota Heart Care team at the M Health Fairview Heart Care Clinics in Maplewood and Woodbury, and at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood. The position will provide patients with expert patient care and coordination of services. They will assist the practice to improve patient satisfaction and enhance the quality of care provided to patients through increased access and coordinated services.

In This Role, You Will:

• Join a multidisciplinary team of 21 Cardiologists and 15 Advanced Practice Providers
• Provide and coordinates care for adults with cardiac diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient management of general cardiology patients with heart failure and other cardiac diseases of various etiologies.
• Provide patient and family education as it relates cardiac diseases and general cardiology.
• Perform pre and post procedure care and clinic follow up visits.
• Show commitment to exemplary patient care.
• Manage patient care through appropriate use of available resources.
• Demonstrate ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.

Schedule:

• 1.0 FTE
• Monday-Friday day hours with potential to cover weekends in the future
• No call, holidays, or night shifts

We’re Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:

• A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
• Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
• Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or Minnesota APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through Minnesota Board of Nursing (NP’s).
• Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

The full-time salary range is $130,866 - $161,954 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
