Job Description

Seeking an Advance Practice Provider to join the Mayo Clinic Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Primary role will be focused in IBD specialty (Inflammatory Bowell Disease) and in partnership with the IBD care team. Experience in gastroenterology clinical care and/or with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis patient care is preferred but not required. Motivated and collaborative professionals with direct patient care experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.


During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

New Grads will not be considered at this time. 2+ years of NPPA GI experience required.


Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP or ACNP.


Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the State (MN/WI/FL/AZ) State Board of Medical Practice.


Additional Qualifications:

  • IBD specific experience preferred, but GI experience required
  • Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
    • ACLS certification recommended but not required
