Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeThe Nurse Practitioner is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the Local MD Urgent Care delivery team. Staff NP is responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care. The Staff NP has responsibility, authority, and accountability for care provision through consultation and collaboration with a physician/Medical Director. The Staff NP manages and provides management of health problems, coordination of healthcare including administering physical exams, diagnosing, and treating illness/injuries and prescribing medications for patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, professional communication, and collaboration with all team members. The role of the Staff NP encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision. The Staff NP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, Local MD Urgent Care, patients, and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The NP promotes excellence in care and provides expertise in clinical practice, education, consultant services, and clinical research.
