In 2010, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation took an affirmative step towards long-term economic stability by creating Prairie Band, LLC a wholly-owned holding company. The purpose was to diversify, manage and expand economic interests of the Nation beyond the realm of Indian gaming. In mid-2011, Prairie Band, LLC was granted initial funding, and began its targeted focus. Headquartered on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Reservation, our shared services team provides a wide range of services that support the Prairie Band, LLC family of companies. Our shared services team is utilized by Prairie Band subsidiaries to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness. The team maintains responsibility for general administrative support, human resources, network and communication systems, physical facilities, marketing, legal, and financial support functions. The shared services team is involved in identifying and planning for the changing needs of the organization, shares responsibility with the appropriate senior managers for strategic planning, and contributes to cost-effective management throughout the organization.
