Job Description: This Nurse Practitioner (NP) role provides autonomous, evidence-informed care across continuing care, long-term care, primary health care, acute care, urgent care, and emergency settings. The position will report to and work under the direction of a manager in one of the designated program areas. Practicing within Saskatchewan Health Authority policies, CRNS standards, and legislated NP scope, the NP assesses, diagnoses, treats, prescribes, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, performs authorized procedures, and evaluates care for clients with common acute illnesses, stable chronic conditions, urgent and emergent needs, and health promotion priorities as the most responsible provider (MRP). The NP works collaboratively with clients, families, physicians, multi-disciplinary teams, community partners, and managers to support safe, person-centered, culturally responsive, and coordinated care.

Experience

  • One (1) year community nursing experience
  • Three (3) years nursing experience

Education

  • Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)

  • Multisite position serving Lloydminster Hospital and Prairie North Health Centre
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • One (1) year nursing experience in a primary health care setting preferred
  • May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
