Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910

Under the direction of the Pre-Admission Clinic Manager, the Nurse Practitioner will provide pre-operative assessment services to surgical care patients in the Pre-Admission Clinic (PAC). The Pre-Admission Clinic ensures patients are fully prepared for surgery in terms of patient optimization, appropriate pre-operative testing and intervention, and education surrounding what to expect before and after surgery. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for surgical care patients both independently and collaboratively with Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine, depending upon the complexity of patient needs. This includes: diagnosis, assessment, intervention and follow up for pre-operative patients.

  • Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

  • Previous experience in surgical nursing is an asset
