We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctor ( MD ) for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Cumberland, MD, to serve as attending physician for our resident population. The MD partners with NP and APP staff, the Medical Director, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes. This is a full-time, in-person position with predictable weekday hours.

Qualifications of the Medical Doctor ( MD ):

• Valid Medical Doctor ( MD ) license in the state of Maryland, in good standing

• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics

• Active DEA registration

• 3+ years post-residency clinical experience; SNF or post-acute experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities of the Medical Doctor ( MD ):

• Serve as attending physician for assigned facility residents

• Conduct admission examinations and review medical records to establish care baselines

• Manage chronic conditions, medications including controlled substances, and acute condition changes

• Lead complex case discussions and consult on resident care planning

• Coordinate with nursing leadership, NP staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
