Position Overview:
Retriever Integrated Health (RIH) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks an experienced and student-focused Lead Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide advanced clinical care and leadership within the campus health center. This position supports the health, well-being, and academic success of UMBC’s approximately 14,000 students, as well as the occasional faculty and staff, through high-quality, evidence-based primary care services.
The Lead Nurse Practitioner serves in a dual role, providing comprehensive primary care while offering clinical leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for nurse practitioners and coordinating medical staff. This position partners with the Medical Director and Clinic Coordinator to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care, develop clinical standards, contribute to the maintenance of regulatory compliance, and advanced integrated health services across RIH’s medical, counseling and health promotion units. The Lead NP mentors the medical staff, fostering clinical excellence, autonomous decision-making, and professional development within a collaborative learning environment.

Salary:
Salary: $113,184 - $127,633 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
